The LSRFS has a robust and comprehensive year-round training program for our firefighters to practice and enhance their skills. We also offer an NFPA 1001 course every year to firefighters within our region. This course is a “professional standard of firefighting” certified course that allows us to give firefighters the opportunity to further their education in firefighting and gives the LSRFS more certified firefighters. An integrated Fire and EMS training program is also offered in partnership with Northern Lakes College.
