[ARCHIVED] Special Event Permits

Special Events

Council and Administration are very pleased with the number of events taking place within the Town Boundary. This is an indication of a resilient and thriving community. We would like to stress that permits must be obtained before holding a special event. Special Events include, but are not limited to: Walks, Parades, Amusements, Festivals, Beer Gardens, Fundraising BBQ’s, Marathons, etc.

A special event permit can be picked up at the Town of Slave Lake office, or online by visiting www.slavelake.ca. These permits are free, and must be submitted two weeks prior to the event. The review process for a Special Event can take up to two weeks to complete; as Administration reviews the application and ensures proper notification has been given to various agencies effected by the special event permit. To expedite the process residents are encouraged to fill out the special event permit as accurately and completely as possible.
