Slave Lake RCMP were made aware that a false name was provided by the female in custody on Jan. 1, 2022. The charge that was laid against the named individual has been withdrawn.
Slave Lake RCMP continue to investigate this matter.

On Jan. 1, 2022, at 11:35 p.m., the Slave Lake RCMP responded to a call of a break and enter in progress at a business in the northwest quadrant of town. Several witnesses reported that a male and female were inside the business and the front windows were broken.
The Slave Lake RCMP attended the scene and were advised that a male and female ran on foot heading southwest. The Slave Lake RCMP patrolled the area and located a male and female hiding on private property and were arrested.
Lucas Jeremy Laboucan (24) of Slave Lake and a female are charged with Break and Enter.
Following a judicial hearing, both subjects were released to attend Slave Lake Provincial Court on Feb. 2, 2022 and Jan. 19, 2022 respectively.
