Slave Lake RCMP request public assistance in locating missing male last seen boating on Lesser Slave

Slave Lake RCMP News Release - Summer

Slave Lake, Alta. – At this time, the Slave Lake RCMP are continuing with search efforts in locating Mr. Leard Robertson.  RCMP are focusing their search efforts on the water, land and air. This is an active investigation and will continue until Mr. Robertson is located.  We are asking any boaters on Lesser Slave Lake for the next several days to keep an eye out and if you happen to see anything that is out of the ordinary to please contact the Slave Lake RCMP or 911. 

Slave Lake RCMP are also asking the public to not make any type of rescue attempt. With that being said, Slave Lake RCMP would like to publicly thank everyone that has contacted us inquiring on what they can do to assist in locating Mr. Robertson.

Additional Information: 

Slave Lake, Alta. - On July 1, 2021, shortly after 9 a.m., Slave Lake RCMP received a call of a missing person.

The 58-year-old male from Slave Lake, Alta., was last known to be boating on Lesser Slave Lake on the evening of June 30. Police have located the boat unoccupied.

Slave Lake RCMP, Fire Services, and Search and Rescue are currently on scene conducting both ground and water searches. RCMP Air Services have also been called to provide assistance.

Leard Robertson is described as:

- 6' tall / 229 lbs

- brown hair

The Slave Lake RCMP are asking anyone who is on the Lesser Slave Lake, or in the area, to keep an eye out for any signs of Robertson.
