Grant Approved for Town's Municipal Asset Management Program

Banners View of Town

The Town of Slave Lake has embarked on a process to improve its asset management.  This includes having Facility Condition Assessments completed for Town owned buildings; the creation of formal preventative maintenance schedules based on these assessments; new software to track assets; as well as overall work being done to those assets and costs.  This new process and system will allow the Town to better forecast potential financial risk in terms of ensuring our facilities and infrastructure are ready for use by our residents.

The Town is receiving a grant from Canada Infrastructure, through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), under the Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP) to offset its costs.
