Utility Rates

Water Rates 

All Town of Slave Lake properties pay $1.80 per cubic meter of water consumed. Water consumption is measured by your water meter and billed on a monthly basis. In addition, there is flat water base rate of $30.03 per month "Schedule B."

Multi-unit residential development within Town limits will be charged the water base rate multiplied by the number of units on a monthly basis.


Sewer Rates 

All Town of Slave Lake properties pay $1.45 per cubic meter. Sewer consumption is based on the water consumed measured by your water meter. In addition, there will be a water base rate fee of $24.11 per month. "Schedule C." *

Multi-unit residential developments within Town limits will be charged the sewer base rate multiplied by the number of units on a monthly basis.

Recycling, Collection, Removal and Disposal of Waste 

All Town of Slave Lake residential properties will pay a garbage collection (curbside)** fee of $3.78, a garbage disposal (Landfill) fee of $11.16, a recycling (recycle depot) fee of $3.31, a curbside recycling** fee of $3.13 and a toxic round up fee of $0.11 per month. "Schedule D".

Multi-unit residential developments within Town limits will be charged a garbage collection fee, a garbage disposal fee, a recycle depot fee, curbside recycle fee and a toxic round up fee multiplied by the number of units on a monthly basis.

Commercial, Industrial and Institutions will be charged a garbage disposal fee, a recycling fee and a toxic roundup fee and are responsible to arrange their own pick up.

Deposits & Connection Fee

All Town of Slave Lake new residential utility accounts will pay a deposit of $190. New commercial/industrial/institutional utility accounts will pay a deposit of $320.

All new Town of Slave Lake utility accounts will pay a connection fee of $21.40. "Schedule A". 

Late Payments

If a utility invoice is paid after the due date stated, a TWO AND ONE HALF (2.5) percent, per month, penalty will be applied to the outstanding charges.

Payments made by mail or through a financial institution must be received by the Town on or before due dates in order to avoid such percentage charge.
