Come celebrate Spring Migration with us! The morning kicks off with an early bird pancake breakfast, Guided birding hikes will depart at 7 and 8 pm. Tours of the Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory (LSLBO) will be taking place hourly until 11 am. Plus there will be special nature workshops from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm with:
- Lesser Slave Lake Watershed Council
- Grouard Native Cultural Arts Museum
- Nature Alberta
- Learn about invasive Weeds with Alberta Environment and Parks
- Lesser Slave Forest Education Society Nature walk
- And Explore how technology is helping the LSLBO learn more about bird migration!
And of course there will be lots of hands-on activities for the kids including bird feeder decorating and other fun crafts.
This family friendly event is free! However there is a charge for the pancake breakfast and come activities. All proceeds from this event help support the research and monitoring programs at the LSLBO.
