Photo Radar Tickets with Canada Post

Photo Radar and Canada Post

Since Canada Post announced their intentions to conduct rotating strikes across Canada, Photo Radar and other Automated Traffic Enforcement Tickets have not been mailed out at the direction of Alberta Justice.

Since then 390 tickets have been issued for fines under the Traffic Safety Act, for offences occurring in Slave Lake. Another 53 tickets were issued to out of province motorists.

Global Traffic Group Ltd will mail out traffic tickets to motorist starting today.

According to the Provincial Offences Procedure Act, authorities have up to 6 months to issue a violation ticket. The delay in mailing tickets is well within the legal framework and is being done at the request of Alberta Justice.

If you have any questions about this please contact our Town of Slave Lake Community Services Director Garry Roth at 780-849-8017.
