EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

RESIDENTIAL LAND DEVELOPMENT

The Town of Slave Lake is located on the shores of the Lesser Slave Lake and is 232 km east of Edmonton in the Province of Alberta.  Slave Lake has an estimated population of 6,800 and serves an area of approximately 20,000.

The Fournier Place subdivision, within the Town, was constructed in 2012 and 2013.  The subdivision includes 94 fully serviced, single family, urban residential lots: 60 bungalow (R1D zoning) and 34 two-story (RPSL zoning).  Currently 15 of the 94 lots have been developed and sold to private owners, the remaining lots are undeveloped and owned by the Town of Slave Lake.

The Fournier Place subdivision also has a design guideline for the subdivision which envisions a community where people can walk, play, and gather in a safe and welcoming environment.  Fournier Place also has one Community Common area (park), as well as asphalt walking trails that connect to the monolithic concrete walks throughout the subdivision, as well as a storm pond.

The Town of Slave Lake is requesting Expressions of Interest to complete the developments within the subdivision.  The Town is open to new and innovative ideas and concepts with respect to the development of the remaining 79 lots.

Copies of the Fournier Place Design Guidelines and the Town’s Land Use Bylaw are available upon request.

The Town of Slave Lake’s Planning Department will accept written Expressions of Interest until 14:00 M.S.T., Tuesday, July 3, 2018.

Should the Town receive Expressions of Interest, the Town may proceed with a Request for Proposal for the subsequent sale and development of the noted lands.

Expression of Interest shall be mailed or delivered to:
