Slave Lake RCMP Investigate a Break and Enter to an Oilfield Site

Slave Lake, Alberta - On December 15, 2017 suspects broke into an oilfield site at kilometre 34 of the Old Smith Highway.  Once inside, suspects stole various items including a weed eater and handheld tools.  On-site security footage has found that suspects were driving a blue older model Ford pick-up truck with two different types of tires.  Suspects were able to conceal their identity by wearing heavy winter clothing.

 

Crimes being committed on oilfield and industrial sites are presently on the rise in Alberta.  These types of occurrences pose a serious risk to the suspects and could impact the overall well-being of the general public.
