Message from the Peace Officers

Message from the Peace Officers

Peace Officers would like to remind motorists to ensure they fully remove the snow from their ENTIRE vehicle during snowfalls such as today.

Slave Lake Peace Officers have conducted traffic stops on vehicles this morning where the driver wiped away just their vehicles windshield, while leaving the rest of the vehicle fully snow covered.

The fine for driving with an obstructive view is $155.00.

We would also like to remind motorists, in school zones, not to park on crosswalks while dropping their children off at school. While snow is causing some visibility issues, please watch for marked signs when parking your vehicle.

It is prohibited to park within 5 meters of any stop/yield or crosswalk sign.

Anyone wishing to make a complaint regarding a traffic concern they may have may call enforcement services at 780-849-8014.
